香港交易所 recently updated its list of securities that are permitted for short selling. According to the announcement made on May 22, several stocks have been added to and removed from the recognized short sellable security list.
Specifically, 50 stocks including B Shares of Tung Chau Corporation (00087) and Hawley Group (00501) have been added to the list. On the other hand, 31 stocks such as International Entertainment (01009) and Huotai Textile (01382) have been removed from the list. These changes will come into effect on May 29.
This adjustment is part of the ongoing efforts by the exchange to regulate market activities and ensure fair trading practices. The updated list reflects the latest regulatory decisions and market conditions, providing investors with clearer guidelines for short selling transactions.
